Do the work. Not all the stuff around it.
You got into the work to help people.
Then you ended up running a business too.
There’s the session. Then there’s everything else.
Running your own practice is about more than the hour you spend with a client.
There’s finding them. Onboarding them. Scheduling. Following up. Notes. Payments. Invoicing. Referrals. Reminders. Keeping track of what needs to happen next.
None of it is especially difficult on its own.
But add it all up and it can take a surprising amount of your week.
That’s the part we’re interested in. The work around the work.
More time for the work that matters.
Synthatic is exploring better ways to support therapists, counsellors and coaches who run their own practices.
We’re starting with one question
What would it take to spend more time with clients, and less time running the practice around them?
We want to know how your week actually goes.
- Where does the time disappear?
- What still happens by hand?
- What keeps getting pushed to later?
- What falls through the cracks?
- What becomes difficult when things get busy?
- What do you wish you never had to think about again?
And if you had a really capable assistant for ten hours a week, what’s the first thing you’d hand over?
That’s what we want to understand.
We’re not starting with the technology.
We don’t have a solution we’re trying to convince you to use.
We want to understand how your practice works today. What takes your time. What feels unnecessarily difficult. What you’ve already tried. What you’ve learned to live with.
Maybe technology can help.
Maybe the answer is something simpler.
The tools come after. Not before.
Stay independent. Carry less.
Not everyone wants to build a company.
Not everyone wants to hire a team.
And running a successful practice shouldn’t mean slowly becoming a full-time administrator.
You should be able to stay independent, serve your clients well and have a healthy practice without everything around the work becoming a second job.
We think that should be possible. We’re figuring out how.
Give us a little time. We’ll give something back.
We’re speaking with therapists, counsellors and coaches who run their own practices.
We’d like to spend 30–45 minutes understanding how yours actually works.
In return, we’ll do two things.
First, we’ll look at your practice.
Afterwards, we’ll send you a short, personalised look at where your time seems to be going, what could potentially be simplified, and a few things worth trying.
Second, we’ll share what we learn.
As we speak with more practitioners, we’ll share what we’re seeing: how practices like yours actually run, where the time really goes, what keeps coming up, and what people in your position wish worked better.
No pitch. No demo. No product to sell you.
Just a conversation, something useful back, and hopefully a better understanding of how independent practices can work.
